Taylor recently partnered with Ravenswood School for Girls to deliver an engaging Resume and Interview Workshop as part of the Year 10 Career Experience Day. The initiative equipped students with practical tools for their first job applications and highlighted diverse career pathways in the construction industry.
The workshop was facilitated by Elizabeth Mackison (Submissions Manager), Lara Burgess (Talent Manager), and Olivia Losurdo (Marketing Coordinator), who shared insights on:
- Building a strong resume using everyday experiences.
- Understanding what employers value, such as teamwork, problem-solving, and communication.
- Preparing for interviews with confidence.
Students learned that skills developed through school projects, sports, and community activities are highly transferable and sought after in the workplace. Facilitators also introduced Taylor’s broad operations—from head office roles in Finance, HR, and Marketing to on-site positions like Project Manager and Site Supervisor—showcasing exciting opportunities within construction.
The impact was clear. As Ravenswood shared:
“Your involvement gave our students a valuable glimpse into the professional world and helped make the day both engaging and informative. The resume activity was a hit! We truly appreciate the time and effort that went into hosting the event, and the positive feedback from students and staff shows the impact it had.”
Taylor is proud to support initiatives that empower the next generation to explore meaningful careers and looks forward to continuing this partnership.
