United by Culture this Harmony Week

Team Taylor recently came together in Head Office and across our project sites to celebrate Harmony Day, a special occasion dedicated to recognising and embracing the diverse cultures that make our workplace and teams unique.

To mark the occasion, staff were encouraged to bring a dish that represents their cultural heritage. The result was a generous and colourful spread that reflected the many backgrounds, traditions, and stories that make up our teams.

The Head Office kitchen and site lunch rooms quickly became hubs of activity as colleagues shared homemade favourites, sparking conversations about family traditions, cultural roots, and the meaning behind each dish. In true Taylor tradition, Matt’s smoked brisket was a crowd favourite, alongside nostalgic Australian treats including fairy bread and Middle Eastern delights like fattoush salad. Caprese skewers transported us to Italy, while other dishes such as burek, wontons, bao buns and baklava further showcased the diversity of our teams. Each dish brought to the table carried a story, and by sharing these stories, teams built a deeper understanding and appreciation of one another’s backgrounds.

Harmony Week is a reminder that our differences are a strength, and that everyone belongs. Celebrating together is one small but meaningful way we continue to build an inclusive, respectful, and connected workplace environment.
