The 138 Pitt Street project comprised fitout and refurbishment of an existing heritage building, including all services, demolition works, and construction of new foundations, walls, floors, lift shaft and lift across a four-storey building. The building spans multiple levels (basement, ground, levels 1, 2 and 3 with Roof Terrace) and is located on the corner of Pitt Street and King Street in a prominent position with a strong streetscape value both in the immediate locality and when seen along King Street. Taylor provided a revised structural concept and a practical construction methodology that enabled cost and program efficiencies that benefited the client.
